I apologize for the lack of posts lately, but as Scott said life has been crazy to say the least. This year for Easter we took Ann Marie to our church Easter Egg hunt on Saturday, church on Sunday morning, and then lunch with Scott’s Uncle Randy and Aunt Jane, and his cousin Sarah and Dave. Ann Marie had a great time and it was a nice way to end a pretty crazy spring break for me as I tried to settle the new house a little more. I feel like we will be unpacking boxes forever but I made a good start.
Here are some pictures of her at the egg hunt:

We weren’t too sure about this Easter Bunny.

Ann Marie was so excited by every Egg, especially those with stickers!

Standing out front before church in our Easter dress. Thanks RuRa! We loved it!

We realized recently that we have lots of pictures of Ann Marie with each one of us, but not nearly as many of the three of us together. Of course, we discover this the night before we need to turn in family pictures at Ann Marie’s school. So this is our family picture after a great Easter lunch!
Here are more pictures from Easter!
So sometime last night it appears as if someone hacked my password. I had a fairly secure one for the account I use, but apparently not for all of the accounts. It took them a few hours, but they were able to break into the site and post some lovely things. They also setup some redirection which redirected visitors who visited this site to some not so nice places. We seem to be doing better now.
It’s going to take me a little bit to get it all put back together, but for now, the bulk of it appears to be back up and running.
Hope your day has been better than mine
It’s been a busy month for the Harlan household. We have gone non stop and have several things to share. So without further ado, I present the last month (or so) in reverse order:
Last weekend we traveled to Natchitoches, LA for my cousin Paul and Catlin’s wedding. We had a nice time, but did come back with one recommendation. Don’t EVER schedule a 6am flight. If you happen to make this mistake, at least make sure that you don’t do it on Daylight Savings Time weekend. In our defense, we didn’t realize this when we booked the flight, but it wasn’t a pleasant oversight.

On the upside, she was an angel during the ceremony. On the down side, more petals ended up at our feet than on the aisle.
Next bit of news is that on Leap Day (Feb 29th) Elizabeth and I closed on a new house. We’re moving down the road to Lawrenceville at the end of this month and are very excited. We’re moving up in terms of space (doubling our square footage) and it will be nice to have the extra room.
Here’s some pictures of the house before we bought it. We’ll be putting up more in the coming months.
And finally, the extra space will be nice because we’re having another child. Elizabeth is due on July 10th with our second child and this one will be a boy. Ann Marie cannot wait for her “Baby Brother” to get here. She’s already been practicing taking care of her baby in preparation for her new brother. We still have a ways to go, but hopefully by the time he comes, she’ll be ready to be a big help.
Here’s his latest ultrasound. We think we’ve settled on the name William Eric and that we will call him Will.
Hope everyone is doing well. Sorry the posts have grown farther apart. I promise they will increase after our new son is born.
Ann Marie is very popular this year. She’ll be a flower girl for the first time in about a month and then will be making 2 additional appearances as flower girl this year. We got her a dress and wanted to try it on. She was very willing to pose for pictures, but didn’t exactly want to take it off. Suffice it to say, she’s excited.
Oh, and she also insisted that Elmo pose for the pictures with her. Don’t worry Caitlin, Cassie, or Kelly, Elmo will not be making a trip down the aisle.

2011 has been a pretty crazy year in my family with my brother Thomas in med school and my brother Robert a Junior in college, so we were not able to take a family vacation over this past summer like we have in the past. So, we decided to take part of the week of Thanksgiving as our family vacation and head to Disney World, because it is a magical place and one of Ann Marie’s favorites. We arrived late Friday night and spend Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday at Disney parks and a day at Universal. Ann Marie had a blast and especially enjoyed having Uncles Thomas and Robert with her for this trip. She’s already asking when she can go back with them. She even did so well this time we were able to stay for one of the night shows (a first for us) and she decided her stroller did make life easier so she actually rode in it this time and even napped in it one day. She really is an amazing traveler and really goes with the flow. She is growing up so fast we are amazed every day with her observations of the world around her. Enjoy the pictures!
Well hello again. Despite what many assume, Ann Marie has grown up since Auntie Sarah’s wedding (even though there’s been no proof of it for the last 2 months on this website). Below are some pictures from the last few months as well as some from this summer that I just got off of a computer a work this week.
We’ve been busy lately. I just finished my first semester at the school not to be named. Ann Marie has been busy. At her school she’s had a Halloween party (which sadly we missed), a Thanksgiving feast (which I went to), and a Christmas sing-a-long (which we both attended). We went back to Disney for Thanksgiving (I’ve told both Ann Marie and her mom to not get used to seeing Mickey this much in one year) as well as Universal Studio. We had a great time even though it was a good bit of driving.
Right now we’re trying to get ready for Christmas. Elizabeth finished school for the year yesterday and we’ve almost bought all of our Christmas presents. Ann Marie and I have spent most of the morning wrapping presents so, if your present has a crooked label, or some bunched up tape, just know that that was Ann Marie’s contribution. She’s also been responsible for selected which wrapping paper you receive.
Well, that’s about it. I promise to put up pictures for Christmas in a more timely manor. Until then, we wish everyone a Merry Christmas.
This past weekend, the Harlan’s traveled down to Baton Rouge to go to “Auntie” Sarah’s wedding. The weather was great and we had a wonderful time. We took quite a few videos and I’ll try to get those up before too long. For now, here’s some pictures.
Well the Jackets are 6 and 0 and currently ranked 12th in the country. We over here in the Harlan household couldn’t be happier.
Ann Marie stumbled across a Disney puzzle last night right before bed. She really wanted to play with it, but we told her she could play with it in the morning (figuring she’d forget). By this morning, I’d completely forgotten about it, but we weren’t up 2 minutes before Ann Marie wanted to play with the puzzle. We tried for a little bit, but quickly realized that the pieces were just too small for her. Mommy and I however found ourselves coming back to the puzzle all day. On the down size, we didn’t exactly fold laundry today, but we did get the puzzle done.
Snellville’s moving up in the world. First we got a Buy Buy Baby (Bed Bath & Beyond’s Baby Store) and now we have an Academy Sports. I’d never been to Academy, but it’s definitely the kinda place we Harlan’s like. While Ann Marie and I were walking around the store waiting on Elizabeth to meet us, we stumbled into the Fishing Section (I have no idea how we ended up there… honest) and as we passed the kids rods and reels, Ann Marie found a Dora the Explorer one that she loved. Needless to say, it was hard for me to say no. So we’re now the proud owner of a pink Dora the Explorer rod and reel which is second only to the Snoopy one I had as a kid. Ann Marie had to try out our new rig in the driveway to get ready to go fishing when we are in Newnan next weekend. Get ready Poppa and Poppie, we’re ready to fish!
